The Manhattan Project is a solid worker-placement game in which you recruit scientists, engineers and general laborers to orchestrate the construction of uranium- and plutonium-enriched bombs. You spend the early game building your resource-generating “engine” of factories, universities and mines. There’s even a mini espionage component, as well as a military component that can be used to keep your opponents in check.
My first game against two friends who had played the game previously came down to the wire, with all three of us within striking distance of the win during the last few turns. I can’t wait to get this back on the table.
The game is produced by Minion Games and designed by Brandon Tibbetts.
